How to reach the Campaigns dashboard

The Campaigns dashboard is the first page you see when you sign in to your Apple Search Ads account. Alternatively, you can access your campaigns list by choosing your account name from the Account menu at the top right of the page.

How to customise your Campaigns dashboard content

Your campaigns, their statuses, IDs, app name and a selection of metrics are all available in the Campaigns dashboard. You can customise your performance metrics view by clicking the blue “Edit columns” link on the top right of the table. A drag-and-drop feature lets you move items back and forth between the “Columns to show” section and the “Columns to hide” section.

How to edit a campaign’s budget and daily cap

From the Campaigns dashboard, you can edit a campaign’s budget and daily cap. However, budgets cannot be lowered once the campaign has started.

There are no time constraints on budgets, so consider adding a daily cap to control how your budget is spent over time. While we make our best effort to limit campaign spend to your requested daily cap, it’s not guaranteed and your campaign may occasionally spend more. But, you’ll never be charged more than your campaign lifetime budget.

Change the budget and daily cap directly in the table columns:

  1. Click the budget or daily cap of the campaign you want to edit in the campaign list table.
  2. Highlight the amount.
  3. Enter your new budget or daily cap amount and hit return.

You can also edit your budget and daily cap once you’ve clicked into a campaign and you’re on the Ad Groups dashboard. Click the Edit Campaign Settings link in the upper-right corner of the page.

How to pause or activate campaigns

You can pause and activate campaigns as needed:

  1. Start from the Campaigns dashboard.
  2. Select the campaigns you want to activate or pause.
  3. Find the Actions menu, next to the Create Campaign button, and choose Activate or Pause.

How to create a new campaign

Click the Create Campaign button to start a new campaign. A new page appears, and you can choose the app you want to promote and the countries and regions where you want your ads to run.

If you plan to advertise in multiple markets, you may want to consider grouping similar countries and regions in one campaign for easier management. Group them according to attributes like customer value, customer profiles, language, global region or sales or financial centre location.

Note that if your app name includes a special character, it might not appear as an option. To type an alternative version of a character, press and hold the key until its alternative characters are displayed. Then either click the one you want to use or type the number that appears underneath.

  1. Start from the Campaigns dashboard.

Historical reporting data is still available, and you can view and download data for selected campaign ad groups and keywords. Select the ad groups or keywords you want to download, and click Download Data from the Actions menu.

Note that removing a campaign is a permanent action. Once removed, it can’t be restored or modified.
